Special Programs
Welcome! "Special Programs" comprise the newest group of TVS Auxiliary Programs! These programs are often offered in conjunction with other departments and divisions of Trinity Valley School. (They also follow irregular scheduling patterns, compared to our typical after-school Enrichment programs and XPLORE: Summer at TVS camps.) In Fall 2023, we are offering two such programs:
1. Pickleball Clinics, for TVS students in grades 5-8
2. MATHCOUNTS at TVS, for TVS students in grades 5-8, in conjunction with the Middle School

Pickleball Clinics
Starter Pickleball Clinic (Oct. 16-20, 2023)
What’s all the buzz about pickleball? Because it is FUN…there’s even a “kitchen” in this crazy game! Come out for a week of enjoyment and competition, and discover why pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the US. All it takes is some athletic wear, a desire to learn, and the willingness to challenge yourself.

Next-Level Pickleball Clinic (Nov. 6-10, 2023)
Already caught the pickleball bug, know what “the kitchen” is, and understand how to keep score in pickleball? Then you’re ready to improve your game and the Next-Level Pickleball Clinic is just for you! Solidify the technique of the basic strokes and learn some basic strategy so you can start to not just out-hit your opponents but outsmart them.

MATHCOUNTS at TVS
October 3, 2023 - May 2, 2024
MATHCOUNTS is an after-school math club for Middle School students. The goal is for students to build problem solving and math skills through games, interactive and hands-on math activities, and monthly challenges. Some meetings will feature themed problem sets that offer a unique twist to solving math problems. Each activity is designed to help students build number sense, improve math literacy, and strengthen numeracy routines. MATHCOUNTS will go in depth with various math topics and provide the opportunity to collaborate with middle-school students in a fun and welcoming environment.
