Visiting Speaker Jennifer Wallace’s visit reminded the Trinity Valley community that true flourishing begins with belonging, not achievement, and that students thrive when they feel seen, valued, and known for who they are. Rooted in the School’s founding values, the message affirms that when achievement grows from connection and purpose, students develop the confidence and character to lead with heart and contribute meaningfully.

As the new Head of School at Trinity Valley, I’m eager to understand what a day truly feels like for our students — the pace, the energy, the learning, and the laughter that fill our campus. So on Friday, October 24, 2025, I trade my office for a backpack and my usual business casual for dress code and spend the day shadowing 11th grader Shea McCarthy on a Day 5 in the Upper School.

Middle School is a pivotal time in adolescent development, a season when students strengthen the essential muscles of courage, self-belief, exploration, and belonging. Guided by the themes of confidence, curiosity, and connectedness, we turned to the true experts, our Middle School students, to capture a snapshot of what these values mean to them.
