MRS. STEVI SCHUKNECHT
Stevi grew up in Washington state and received B.A.s in both in public relations and criminal justice at Gonzaga University. She later earned a Masters of Liberal Arts from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to moving to Fort Worth to lead the college counseling team at TVS in 2022, she served as Director of College Counseling for 11 years at another independent school in Austin. In prior roles, she taught special education in public high schools, taught dance and fitness, and worked in the admissions office as a student at Gonzaga University where she learned the inside workings of college admissions. She has been a member of the National Association of College and Admissions Counselors (NACAC) since 2011, and the Texas Association of College and Professional Counselors (TACAC) since 2012, and a member of the Association for College Counselors in Independent Schools (ACCIS) since 2021. She currently serves on the TACAC Executive Board, is Co-Chair of the Mentorship and Volunteers subcommittee for ACCIS, and is Vice-Chair of the ACT State Council.
Stevi finds joy in walking alongside students as they move into the next stage of life. Her goal is always that they might do it with clarity, confidence, and excitement. She is committed to frequent and thoughtful communication, to educating the community in planned and approachable ways, and to providing step-by-step support for students. Whether it is with students, parents, colleagues, or professionals in admissions offices, building relationships is the most rewarding part of her work. In her spare time, she enjoys her husband and four children, reading, drinking coffee, and walking her giant dog, Ruby.
MRS. ZINA WORMLEY
Mrs. Wormley, a Fort Worth native, received her B.S. in psychology from Tulane University and M.Ed. in educational administration from the University of New Orleans. Prior to arriving at TVS, she served Keystone School in San Antonio as the director of admissions. Mrs. Wormley has extensive experience in college admissions at Louisiana State University and Tulane University. Additionally, she was senior assistant director of admissions at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and at Trinity University. During her admission tenure, Mrs. Wormley coordinated campus tours and visits, reviewed merit scholarship applications, and implemented recruitment events with a special focus on underrepresented and diverse students, plus reviewed thousands of application files and college essays!
Mrs. Wormley is passionate about the college search process and cares deeply about the importance of college fit. She spends her spare time with her husband and two children. Mrs. Wormley is excited to contribute to our students’ educational journey.
MRS. NATALIE TIMSON
Mrs. Timson holds a B.A. in English from Oklahoma State University and a M.S. in student affairs in higher education from Colorado State University. Prior to joining the college counseling team in 2016, she served as a senior recruiter at the University of Kansas where she was responsible for recruiting and hiring new faculty and staff for over 50 campus departments. Mrs. Timson also has over a decade of experience working professionally in on-campus student housing at the University of Kansas, The University of Tulsa, and Colorado State University. When she is not chasing after her three children, you can find Mrs. Timson walking the Trinity River trails or enjoying a good book and iced tea at Panera Bread!
MRS. JAMIE MYERS
Mrs. Myers holds a B.A. in communication from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a M.A. in clinical mental health counseling from Louisiana Tech University. Prior to joining the college counseling team in Spring of 2023, she spent seven years in higher education most recently serving as a dual credit coordinator at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Mrs. Myers is excited to work alongside our college counselors coordinating college representative visits, college counseling events, and testing for PSAT/NMSQT, Practice ACT, and AP exams. In her spare time she enjoys exploring the many neighborhoods Fort Worth has to offer and scouring antique shops with an iced coffee in hand.
